V Formation’s Jemma Taylor-Smith joins client. Clayton and Brewill to tackle the Nottingham Post Corporate Challenge for their chosen charity, Ben’s Den.
On Sunday 24th September, V Formation’s Marketing Consultant Jemma Taylor-Smith will be running the Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon, as part of the challenge. The event attracts thousands of entrants and will see Nottingham’s business community go head-to-head to compete for the winning title.
Jemma will be running as part of a team with our client Clayton and Brewill, chartered accountants who are based in Nottingham, to kick start a 12-month programme of fundraising for their chosen charity of the year, Ben’s Den.
The charity was set up in 2004 by Tracey and Darren Parker after their son, Ben, lost his fight to leukaemia.
Tracey and Darren created the charity to support the families of children fighting leukaemia or cancer, by gifting them a free holiday and allowing them to spend much needed, quality family time away from the overwhelming hospital environment.
Ben’s Den has come so far and now has three fully equipped caravans, named ‘Ben’s Den 1’, ‘Ben’s Den 2’ and ‘Ben’s Den 3’, at the Haven holiday site in Mablethorpe.
Jemma says, “I’m pleased to be part of the Clayton & Brewill Corporate Challenge team and hope we can raise lots of money for Ben’s Den, which is a great charity. The Ikano Robin Hood Marathon event is always a great day, so I’m really looking forward to taking part.”
