V Formation has welcomed two graduate interns to the team as part of the University of Nottingham Internship Scheme.
Alex Hammond, History graduate, has been appointed as a Marketing Assistant and Lucy Wharton, English graduate, as a PRAssistant. Both graduated from the University of Nottingham with first-class honours degrees. The interns will help to support V’s diverse and growing client base with Alex assisting with digital marketing, campaign fulfilment and social media management and Lucy with copywriting, digital PR and marketing and social media and database management.
The Nottingham Internship scheme allows students and graduates from the university to gain valuable, real-world work experience at local SMEs as well as those from further afield. V is participating in the internship scheme following on from their success in recruiting Marketing Assistant, Amy, through the initiative last year. Amy now holds a permanent position at V and has recently been promoted to Marketing Executive.
The interns will also be attending the Innovation Community Lab at Nottingham Trent University – a thirty-hour programme for ambitious new starters at SMEs.
On his appointment, Alex commented:
“I am really excited to begin working at V, where I’m hoping to gain a great deal more experience within the marketing field, and work on a number of new ambitious projects with V’s clientele, helping wherever I can.”
“I am delighted to be completing a PR internship at V Formation and I am excited to develop my skillset by learning from the experienced and specialist team here.
The ICL programme will also help me to generate and implement new ideas for the business and play a key role in ensuring that V are employing the most innovative practices in terms of their PR strategy.”
V Formation Director, Sue Carr said:
“We are delighted to welcome Alex and Lucy to the team. We have found the University of Nottingham’s internship programme hugely successful in terms of finding talented marketing and PR professionals looking to gain experience and set out in their new careers. We are also proud to be able to attract such high calibre graduates to our growing team.”
