V Formation has launched a new media training service, offering you and your team a unique insight into the workings of the media and how to get the best out of interviews with journalists.
Our Media Training Workshop stands apart, in that it is delivered by V’s Senior PR Consultant Lauren Mills, a former business and financial journalist with 25 years’ experience on national newspapers including The Sunday Telegraph, the Mail on Sunday, The Daily Telegraph and Daily Mail, and the Wall Street Journal – where she launched and ran a blog providing real-time analysis of the day’s breaking business news from all over the world.
What does the media training cover?
An interview with a journalist is an entirely artificial situation and it is important to understand how to use it to your advantage. By following the guidance offered in V Formation’s course you will be able to have a clear idea of your message and therefore be in control of the interview.
All journalists know the rules – too many interviewees do not.
The V Formation media training workshop will give you a step-by-step guide into the rules of an interview and how you can leave the interview knowing that your message was clear and received.
Each workshop will be tailormade to your company, so if there are any issues you might be facing and are unsure about how to present them to the press, you have come to the right place.
There will also be the chance to role-play scenarios where you can practise what you have learned and gain feedback.
Delegates will receive a Media Training Manual, which sets out everything covered over the course for you to take away.
We can cater for any number of delegates up to a maximum of 10.
The course will run for a half-day.
