V Formation has launched a series of marketing fundamentals workshops aimed at junior marketers looking to get to grips with the key elements of marketing.

Marketing fundamentals workshopsThe series, entitled ‘Marketing – the nuts & bolts’, comprises four practical workshops that cover the key marketing fundamentals of marketing planning, PR, creating content and managing campaigns.

As well as adding to their knowledge and skills, workshop participants will also have the chance to network and share their challenges and experiences with those in similar roles.

The V Formation team are passionate about nurturing and inspiring marketing’s rising stars, and during the workshops are keen to share their combined experience to provide some practical insights and tips that will help junior marketers to be more effective within their roles.

The workshops consist of:

Workshop 1 – Marketing planning

This workshop provides participants with an overview of the key fundamentals of marketing strategy and planning and will cover:

  • The difference between strategy and planning
  • The key elements of marketing planning
  • Setting objectives
  • Creating the physical plan – tips and tools
  • Measuring effectiveness and ROI

Workshop 2 – Creating great content

We all know that content is king, but how do you ensure your content is engaging and achieves your objectives?

This practical workshop, delivered by V Formation and Adtrak, will cover:

  • Creating quality, varied content
  • Optimising your content for search
  • Writing tips to help engage your reader
  • Focus on video – creating video that has purpose

Workshop 3 – Managing marketing campaigns

Most marketing professionals are expected to manage and co-ordinate a variety of marketing campaigns. In this workshop we share some tips of the trade to help ensure your campaigns run smoothly and get the results you’re looking for.

We will cover:

  • Creating effective campaigns
  • Sourcing and managing external agencies
  • Writing effective briefs
  • Project management tips and tools

Time: 9.30am – 1.30pm

Location: BioCity, Nottm

Workshop 4 – Introduction to PR

This workshop is delivered by V’s Freelance PR Consultant Lauren Mills, a former business and financial journalist with 25 years’ experience on national and regional newspapers.

Participants will learn:

  • How to write a press release
  • How to compile a media list
  • How to handle the media
  • How to get your news covered

Date: Tuesday 20th November 2018

Time: 9.30am – 1.30pm

Venue: BioCity, Nottingham

The cost for each workshop is £150 + VAT per participant and includes lunch and refreshments. Book all four workshops for the discounted prices of £400 + VAT.
