About ERP Today
With the aim of informing and inspiring IT decision makers, ERP Today is the only print media product dedicated to enterprise technology. As well as producing a quarterly magazine, the company’s digital platform also delivers daily industry news to over 20,000 subscribers.
Supported by 20 of the world’s leading technology companies, ERP Today hosted its inaugural ERP Today Awards & Fundraiser at Ascot Racecourse in 2021, raising a whopping £100,000 for NHS Charities Together from ticket sales and donations.
This year’s objective was no small feat – to deliver an even bigger and better event than last year and raise further funds for the NHS.
Awards project management
V Formation project managed from start to finish, including event planning and management, supplier and sponsor liaison, branding, and management of the awards element.
Co-ordinating activities for guests to take part in on the day (and trying to fit them all in at Ascot Racecourse) has got to be one of the best, albeit challenging, parts of the planning process – more on that below!
We also provided on-the-day, practical management and support including media, guest and sponsor liaison, supplier management and live social media management.
The project was led by our director Hilary, closely supported by Leah & Joss. We worked alongside the ERP Today team throughout the process as well as the fab events team at Ascot Racecourse. Additional members of the V Formation and ERP Today teams assisted on the day.
On the day: from F1 simulators to festival face paint!
After eight months of extensive planning, the event took place at Ascot Racecourse on 22nd September 2022, with more than 2,000 tech execs and 1,200 NHS staff in attendance.
The day kicked off with an executive luncheon and a host of aforementioned activities, including: cocktail making, golf simulator, chocolate fountain, tug-of-war, penalty shootout, F1 simulators, festival face painting, bucking bronco and inflatables– to name just a few!
Attention turned to the main stage in the late afternoon for the Awards ceremony, which saw more than 70 finalists across 10 award categories waiting eagerly to see who would be crowned winners. The awards were followed by live music and (questionable) dancing, before guests headed off to the after party.

Raising an incredible £125k
The event was a huge success, raising £100k for NHS Charities Together through sponsorship and donations, plus an additional £25k was donated on the day by headline sponsor ServiceNow. As well as seeing a great response on social media from guests and sponsors, we also received really positive feedback throughout the day, with several sponsors already asking to be involved again in next year’s event.
