Launching the TherapeutAix brand

V Formation has partnered with design agency Fuse4 to launch a new brand and website for life sciences consultancy, TherapeutAix.

Based in Aachen, Germany, TherapeutAix combines hands-on expertise with an integrated R&D network to add value to projects. Its aim is to bring molecules with promise to life, enabling medicines to reach patients.

Formed in 2018 by four colleagues that worked for the Innovative Medicines Unit at  Grünenthal, the company combine over 100 years’ experience in biotech, mid and large Pharma, academia and consultancy.

 Establishing an online presence

As a newly formed company, TherapeutAix needed to establish its profile and promote its specialist services. V Formation briefed and project managed Fuse4 who created a website providing a clear introduction to TherapeutAix which demonstrates its breadth and depth of expertise with an easy to navigate structure.

V Formation refined the website’s key words and phrases to ensure the new domain was to perform well in search engine rankings by driving traffic to the site, assisted by the creation of Twitter and LinkedIn accounts. Other features included enquiry forms and a whole-site search facility to allow visitors to the site to find exactly what they are looking for.

As the company’s name is a hybrid of ‘therapeutic ‘and ‘Aix-la-Chapelle’ – the French name for the city of Aachen where the consultancy is based – V Formation’s Sue Carr directed the design of a logo to reflect the distinct skyline of the city which is located on the German border, neighbouring the Netherlands and Belgium. Based on an initial idea from Alice Humphries, this concept was further developed to resemble a clinical monitor display to echo the company’s commitment to delivering new therapies to patients.

We were already aware of V Formation’s track record in developing brand identities in the life science sphere. What was particularly impressive for us in TherapeutAix was how Sue was able to extract, absorb and merge the objective and subjective elements expressed in individual calls with the 4 of us, having only met one of the team. Sue had the insight to quickly get to grips with what we were trying to achieve and the expertise to translate this into a brand identity and platform that fully supports our original vision for TherapeutAix.
